Do you know what the term “Rainbow Baby” means? A rainbow baby is a name coined for a healthy baby born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The name “rainbow baby” comes from the idea of a rainbow appearing in the sky after a storm, or after a dark and turbulent time. My sweet second and third daughters are my rainbow babies…and no matter how much time has passed, I still have a little ache in my heart over the journey it took to get them here. So when I have clients tell me about their journey to bring their sweet little one into the world, my heart instantly connects with them when they tell me I’m photographing their rainbow baby.

This little one reminded me of a sweet little woodland fairy, her features so dainty and delicate and perfect for the earthy, flowery vibe. Plus, look at those cheeks! If I could kiss all the babies, I would (but dont worry, I don’t!)
